Overnight Care

What Is Overnight Care at Home?

A peaceful night's sleep should not be a luxury. Kome Care's overnight service provides skilled, reassuring support through the night for people in London, so clients and families alike can be confident that help is always at hand. There are two types of support. Sleep-in care, where a carer sleeps at the property and can be woken if needed, and waking night care, where a carer stays fully alert through the night to monitor and attend to your loved one.

Sleep-in Support

A carer sleeps at the property, ready to assist if needed through the night.

Waking Night Care

The carer remains fully awake, providing active monitoring for complex or high-risk needs.

Emergency Response

Immediate on-hand support if a fall, health deterioration, or urgent need arises overnight.

Night-time Personal Care

Toileting, repositioning, and hygiene assistance delivered discreetly and with dignity.

Medication Management

Night-time medication administration and recording under clinical protocols.

Fall Prevention

Proactive monitoring and safe mobility assistance to reduce night-time fall risk.

Who Is This Service For?

Overnight care suits many situations where having a skilled professional present through the night makes a real difference to safety and wellbeing, and lets families rest too.

  • People with dementia who experience night-time confusion or sundowning
  • Individuals at high risk of falls when moving around at night
  • Those recovering from surgery, a fall, or a recent hospital discharge
  • People with Parkinson's who need help turning in bed or using the bathroom
  • Individuals requiring night-time medication administration
  • Family carers who need to sleep safely, knowing a professional is present

Nurse-Led Night Care You Can Trust

Every overnight package at Kome Care is overseen by our nurse-led clinical team. A qualified nurse writes the care plan, and any health concern observed during the night, whether a change in breathing, a rise in temperature or other signs of deterioration, is escalated straight away through our clinical governance pathway. This is more than a friendly face in the home. It is clinically supervised overnight support.

Overnight care can be combined with daytime visiting care or companion care, or built into a full 24-hour care package for clients who need continuous support. We work with families, GPs and hospital discharge teams so care starts quickly and safely, often within days of a first enquiry.
