1. About Our Supported Living Service

Enabling independent living for adults with learning disabilities and autism across Essex

Kome Care provides CQC-registered supported living services for adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and complex needs across Essex. We work alongside individuals, families, and local authorities to deliver flexible, outcome-focused support that helps people live as independently as possible, whether that is in their own home, their own tenancy, or a shared supported living arrangement.

Our approach is built around the individual. Before any support package begins, we carry out a detailed assessment to understand the person's goals, preferences, daily routines, communication style, and particular needs. From that we write a support plan that we review and update as circumstances change.

We work closely with Essex County Council Adult Social Care, local NHS Community Learning Disability Teams, and specialist advocacy services, so that every person we support can reach the services they are entitled to. Our support workers are recruited for their values first and then trained to a high standard in positive behaviour support, autism awareness, communication approaches, and safeguarding.
